MQ6: General - LPG Gas Sensor Module
MQ6 Gas sensor is a Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) type Gas Sensor mostly used to detect the LPG and Butane gas concentration. This sensor has a detecting element made primarily of ceramic with an aluminum-oxide base and a tin dioxide coating that is encased in a stainless steel mesh.
Its sensing range is very suitable for gas leak detection in homes and places like hotels, restaurants where cooking is done using LPG cylinders. This is a very easy to use low cost semiconductor Gas sensor Module with analog and digital output. This module makes it simple to connect a MQ6 LPG gas sensor to an Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or other microcontroller.
